for about a week now iv'e had a pop up google ad bar that is up at the bottom of the page, i click the x bottom and it just gives me an option to stop seeing this add but all that does is change the ad, the bottom inch of the page is unusable because of this, and it only does this when im on the tcdb site, does anyone else habe this problem? is there a way to get rid of it?

scroll to bottom of page, click on Upgrade to Premium. You can subscribe to an Ad-Free version of the site.

I have it too. I ignore it but the annoying thing is that you have to scroll far enough up from it to do anything like opening links and such.

I get them on other sites and my e-mail. They are also on the side so my viewing area is small 7x12 at the most.

whats crazy is i jsut noticed this bar this morning as a blocker of and links directly to the side of it. So the ad itself is an overlay over the whole bottom of the screen for the height of the ad.
then i saw this in the forum. crazy.
Not here to argue or banter about the ad free experience, just thought it was interesting that i was bugged by it this am then see others as well.

Does feel a little excessive since there are other ad spots that don't interfere on the pages and they are just the same ads.

Could the addition of these ads be the bigger reason the site has slowed recently (as opposed to just the influx of new users)?

Checklists load on my phone a lot faster without ads. I do everything on my phone, and the difference is huge.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster. |
