I think we could really use a pre-transaction message. Basically, if you click on "Propose a Transaction", you would get a message stating the preferences of the member you are tring to trade with. Like "This member does not do plain white envelope trades" or "This member will ship internationally". Of course, you the member, would choose what you would like to say. I've found that most people do not read user profiles, so it's almost irrelevent to put anything on there.

Does anyone like this idea for a new feature?

I've thought of the same thing, therefore I believe it to be a good idea. I'd hope it'd help, though if one could simply click to proceed as one wishes then there will be those who believe themselves to be the exception to the stipulation.

If members don't want to bother to read profiles then it's their own fault. You'd be catering to the lazy and making them even lazier.  And if members don't have trade info in their profile, what makes you think they'll create a "Pre-Transaction Message".

Before I find the New Feature request:   I asked Admin about some thing similar and got the reply.  How I could work around it and where the New Feature  request was.   I made a new feature request and Admin got back to me with the same work around and did not add my request to the list.   Over the years he has done that to several of my requests.

What about precondition check boxes that would associate with your user ID?  So regardless of whether you propose the trade or someone proposes it toward you, they would have to check off any pre conditions you want before they can proceed to the trade.  Things like...

By clicking here I agree not to use a PWE for this trade
By clicking here I agree that my cards are in good condition or better
By clicking here I agree that none of the checklists have any markings on them

or whatever else you are looking for before both sides agree to the trade.

Not against the idea but not convinced it would help.  Some traders here only worry about what they are getting, not offering what will most help the other guy. I recently had an offer that said they had read my profile and looked to offer cards from my lists.  He had 2 of them in the offer, both Panini stickers and then the rest fo the offer was all from a set not even in my lists.  When I trade matched, he had plenty of cards that were on my lists obviously a higher priority in my wants but he was either too lazy to pull from different sets or, what I think is more likely, he was trying to scam me.  His offer was way off balance.  This was the second time the same guy tried to propose a trade that was unbalanced. Needless to say, any future trade from him will simply be declined.

Traders who do care will either search out what will most help the other guy (often found in a member's profile) or will let the other guy Counter, selecting the cards they most want while keeping the trade fair. As for whether they trade internationally or by PWE, either it is in their profile or it is better to ask before proposing a trade which I do with any new potential trade partners.

Some members write a novel for their profile.  I have no interest in reading 90% of what people put in their profiles. 

Imagine those "novels" being put in a Pre-Transaction Message.
