Why isn't there a simple selection to see a list of cards in my collection? When I click "collection" it takes me to a page that tells me how many cards I have. OK, that's a start. Then it offers me the option to see a whole bunch of reports about my collection (members with my cards on their wishlists, browse by sport, hall of famers, etc. But no list of my cards. So I select sport (baseball). It then asks do I want to browse my collection by set, player names, or teams. If I select set, I can only see cards I have in whatever set I choose on the next page. If I choose names, I have to choose by first letter of last name. If I choose team, of course, all I see are all the cards from a certain team.
Why can't I just click "collection" and get a damn list of all my cards?

I understand the "why" you would want that feature especially since you have less than 1000 cards. I on the other hand would never use it since I've listed roughly 200k with a bunch still to add, and I've never had a need to see them all at one time. Maybe there's enough people who would use it, but I think you need to request a feature (not a forum post) for it to be given any consideration.

When you open your collection, is there a symbol in a column next to "History" that looks like a page with a down arrow on it? If you do, try clicking that to see if it's what you want. That's how you can "download" a list of the cards in your collection. You don't have to actually download it to your computer to view, though. You just have to go through the steps to tell it how many columns of cards you want on a page. (And then you could download, print, or just exit that window after you see what you're looking for).
Your collection should be small to fit in one PDF. I need a few to list all the baseball ones in mine.

Welcome to the site. May I suggest something. Your first post and you're asking for help and you throw out a "damn"in anger from the get go. Not a good look. Plenty of good people willing to help, but the ones who know this site the absolute best probably just turned away from doing so. There is a lot of functionality on this site and the members here are more than willing to help new ones; we've all been there. If they can't provide a way to help you'll get point to the New Feature Tracker where you can enter yoursolution, have the members vote on it and Admin may be able to implement a solution that'll help achieve what you want. Things are setup a certain way for a reason, but anyone who has been on this site for while knows, fuctionality gets updated regularly based on member input.

It was touched on by David, but allowing every user the opportunity to see a full list of every card in their collection would be too resource-intensive with all the other large queries also in place (like users pulling up every card assigned to a team), which is why you can only see it in parts (by sport, by year, by brand, etc.). If you go through by sport then piece them together, you'll have what you're looking for ... and you have to copy-and-paste since there's no download/CSV/Excel option.

Not to hijack the thread... but it is there a way to search my collection, or that of another member, using the glossary terms you find for each set?
If I want to see all the ASR across all sets that I have on one screen, can I?

too resource-intensive is why we can only run the Trade Matches once a week. I only get 35 or so matches and it takes several minute to do. Just to get the report for cards on my want list and others FS/FT list. It takes 5 minutes or more and I only get about 125 matches. Who knows how long it takes David and otherrs with large collections.

I mean, just because you wouldn't use a feature isn't reason not to have it, is it? I've already done the hard part by entering them in. They're all already associated with my account. It should be a simple matter to produce that list (even for 200K+ cards).

Sorry, that doesn't make sense. I've already made the list; I did the hard part by entering my collection. What's so "resource intesive" with providing me that list back? It shouldn't be any more "resource intensive" than showing my account profile.
The only way I can think of that this would be an issue (and it seems to me like a silly way to do things) is if they keep ONE list of all the cards, and when I enter one into my collection, it doesn't keep "a record of my collection," but rather it goes to that card in THEIR database and adds my name to THAT record as someone who has one. Is that how this site works?

Yes Every thing is on Admin's system. So it comes down to the computing power he has and how he set up his database when he started it. He upgraded his system a few years ago. It may be a big thing or no problem for him to do what you want. You will have to ask for a new feature or contact him.
