Is there a policy as to whether proper, not show-wrestlers, meaning graeco-roman and freestyle wrestlers in the olympics etc. should be listed under wrestling or misc sports? Currently for example Alexander Medved is under misc sports but I've come across some that were under wrestling.

I don't see a PID for Medved under wrestling.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Right, he's under misc sports. But he is a wrester so the question is should he and other olympic wrestlers be under wrestling or is that only for WWE and other show-wrestling.

Gotcha, I misread your question. I've put them under the wrestling heading before, as I've come across them, but I don't know if there's an established rule on it. I feel like I probably would have asked Admin before I did that, but I can't remember for sure.

I'm not aware of a specific policy, but as a practical matter are there any card sets for olympic style wrestlers that reasonably belong in the Wrestling category instead of Multisport? It's not a topic I know a lot about, but the few cards I have seen have been in Multisport rather than Miscellaneous Sports, but it's certainly possible that some sets are improperly classified.

Sets aren't a problem. I doubt that anybody has ever made a set of graeco-roman wrestlers, they are all in multi-sport sets. It's just about where the PIDs should be.
For boxing for example it's not difficult because pro and amateur boxing is still the same sport so all the olympic boxers etc can go under boxing. With wrestling though we're talking about very different things although there is some overlap (Kurt Angle for example).

Right, most of the Olympic Athletes wind up in Misc Sports because of the team aspect of mostly individual events (such as Track & Field).
I actually have one question, that may or may not matter, but it could - Is there a professional level for "non-entertainment" wrestling (such as Greco-Roman, and I assume other styles)?

Dan, some fans would argue that the WWE has been non-enternainment wrestling for years!

Question---since it is "real fighting" would those PIDs go under MMA?

While there is a movement to establish a professional class of catch wrestling or grappling (basically MMA without striking and with pinfalls), but there haven't been any card sets for it yet.
