Not a fan of the full page ads. I can live with the ads on the perimter. Big turn off to have to click X before navigating to the page I want to go to. I understand the need to generate revenue, but this site is what it is because of the members (site users). Please get rid of the new ad format.

If the ads are bothering you that much, you can upgrade to the site's premium service for as little as $5 a month for an Ad-free experience and you help support the site.

This is a free site, if I need to click a few ads to keep it up and running then so be it.

Today is the first day that the Ads have been showing up I think they are driven by Google ads and in my case events in my local area ,I clicked on the X on the corner and it took me to a Google ad preference setting and I turned it off ,so I will know if it works over the next couple of days.

Like Billy I am a premium member, however, the last coupla days I get an advert when I click on the upcoming RCotD link.
