I apologize in advance if this has been addressed through this forum before...
I have had a number of occasions where another member has offered me a trade and I have sent messages through the trade proposal itself in regards to card conditions etc. In the instances where the member decides to withdraw the offer, they send a message and then withdraw. Is there any way to see the message in a withdrawn offer? I suppose I will have to start sending messages through the message page and not in the individual transactions, but this is frustrating...I am left only guessing about the other member's response.

I have run into the same. Frustrating as who knows what the message may have been. I don't know of any way to access the message because it was their proposal and therefore it will only show up in their Withdrawn box.

In some cases I prefer communicating via the original email rather than through the transaction for that very reason. However, once the preliminary discussions get into the actual transaction setup I'll communicate using it solely. Then we're back in the same situation with ALL communication lost if it gets withdrawn.

If you go to the original message (New Transaction Proposal) sent by the member and click on the transaction number in that message, I think that it will let you see the withdrawn offer and the attached messages.

Unfortunately, going through the intial message for the Transaction Proposal doesn't seem to work either. I will just have to start communicating more through the message inbox instead.
Thanks for the replies!

In one of mine, I have a link to the original transaction number but it takes me to a blank screen; nothing comes up. I was hopeful for a minute there. :)

I'd personally like to see a history of each transaction in all of it's variations. Some times we counter so much I forget what was in the originals or what someone removed from a previous offer.

I too have had this happen several times. The other person sends a message and immediately withdraws and I have no idea what the message was.

I just figured out one way to see that final message.....if your inbox has a Transaction Message for that transaction you can click on the Trans # and then download a PDF w/ messages. That will let you see the mystery message.
