So, every once in a while, I like to look on the bright side. :)
Actually, I look at it quite often. And I've been seeing a lot on here that I like. I wanted to share with you those things, and I would encourage you to add to the list the things you see happening on here that make you go "cool". In no particular order:
1 - Someone requests a card to be added to a set (whether it be an oversight or a VAR), and only a few minutes after said card has been inserted into the checklist, the set appears on the front page as a "New Gallery". (I have seen this happen quite a bit in the last week or so.)
2 - Someone requests info in the forums, and another member who has no stake in the set does the needed research to help out. (There are a couple of longer tenured members who have been doing this for years, but recently, some of our newer members have been doing this - and one has also been adding notes in the IRs.)
3 - The members who drop a note every once in a while when you've resolved the inaccuracy report with a simple "Thanks". (I try to respond with a "Happy to help" or something similar, which is truly how I feel about it.)
4 - I recently saw a newer member working on uploading checklists. Self-reported one that didn't go so well to have it removed so they could try again. I am encouraged by theor perseveranceand determination. They were working on smaller insert sets and mistakes happen. Glad to see that member learning.
5 - Our PIF thread that is still ongoing. So many members have been on both sides of the giving and receiving. It was happening before the thread started, but I think having it there helps the newer members understand what this community is all about.
That's just what I could think of right now. I know there are others and I would love to see what you have been seeing and enjoying on this site. (I have a funny feeling I will 1 - be in agreement with you, and 2 - find that people adding to this thread is another item on my list!)
