I very well may have added more checklists to this site than anyone over the past 10 years, including founding the Non-Sports, Multi-Sports and Misc-Sports sections and thousands of checklists. 

Why is it that I am trusted to do all of this, but not allowed to add a missing card to a checklist ?    It is strange,

Could said checklist be locked?

Click this link to 2020-21 UD Hockey, which is definitely not locked, and let us know if you see the green Insert button above the checklist. If you do, then it's something with the set you tried to edit (likely locked as Dan said)

I only have the blue Options Button. 

Maybe my level is not high enough to add cards to existing checklists.

You have enough points for it. Question is, what is your permission level? You need to have obtained L8 permissions. Seeing you have the points, have you actually done the requesting of the permissions?

There are a number of things I'd like to do sitewise but without permissions ain't gonna happen. I just don't know how I can physicaly gather up enough points to move on. So I'm stuck on Image processing. I started adding CLs and adding images, however due to issues and removing my work, my points have gone backwards. Holy Cow! So I can only do things my permission level allows. It doesn't seem fair that I have to IR and message others to do my work for me, but rules are rules. Thanks to all L8s that respond to my IRs and messages.
