Before I make a formal set request, I should ask if these are appropriate for TCDB. They're similar in size to various baseball coin and pin sets and can be stored the same way. I don't know where you'd find a complete checklist, which might be a little complicated as CC produced caps for Coke, Fanta, Tab, Sprite and Fresca. Plus, separate coins were produced by regions in the U.S. Plus, there were separte all-star team sets. Article:

Here's the Marichal NL All-Star team version:

I don't know how they got that bulky Marichal cap into a coin holder, but it looks like someone figured it out. Long ago, I bought the Richie Allen of the Phillies regional set (numbered P1). Then I took tin snips and clipped the edges of the cap all the way around so I could flatten it down into a disk. After that it, it fit perfectly into a standard 1.5" diameter coin holder ... probably not worth much after that, but it dispays great!!!

TCDB has many sets of dairy, candy and beverage "coverings". One example not graded by PSA would be the 1977 7-Eleven Cup Lids.

I think the scope of this site is to list collector cards and card type items. There have been exceptions made for example, team photos, pin backs, pogs, baseball coins, lids. None of which meet the description in the FAQ. In my opinion the bottle caps would be like the RC soda cans of the 1970's which aren't listed here either. It's ultimately the admins decision to allow or disallow. Perhaps ask the admin themselve. Maybe a veteran to the site knows if the bottle caps have been proposed before.

My understanding several months ago that Coke Caps were not allowed and the sets that are on the site would be removed. A couple of weeks ago I messaged Admin aobut them being removed or can we add others. I have not heard back yet.
I was told by a dealer that football had 10 to 12 years of caps. I have seen (on e-bay and other site) years 64 65 66 67 72 81. I have no ideal how they tell what year they are. I have 3 caps and purchased them as 65 and 66s but they all look alike.

Just because someone else did something incorrectly here does not give others the right to do things incorrectly as well.
The FAQ states what is permitted. These sets do not meet those criteria.

Totally agree. Just looking for clarification. I feel that the caps do not fit the criteria of the site. But wasn't sure if an exception had been made. Thank you.

I hadn't even thought of my RC Cola Cans being listed on here until now. I am ok with them not. I wanted to tell this story though. I was working Waterline Construction as a 27 year old. Most of those guys could have probably cared less about Sports Cards and memoribilia. The digging was going on and up came a pile of dirt with something in it. It was a 1977 RC Cola Can with Robin Yount on it and some general info. The year was 1997. It is a prize possession. It's rough. I have another story about an Ohio Blue Tip Matchbox Ted Williams but I'll save that for another day.

If bottle caps aren't allowed, we'll need this set removed:
