Could someone please explain?

1. I added a set that had to come down because of incorrect formatting.

2. I scanned a number of the cards to this set and they were accepted and added.

3. I'm trying to build up my points little by little.

4. Obviously nothing was wrong with my Image Processing [that's what I'm trying to get past]

5. But lo and behold I checked my points and they were decreased.

6. WHY?, all scans were great, just the listing, I shouldn't be penalized?

You weren't penalized.  You just didn't get points for something that is no longer on the site.

When any checklists and/or images are removed, the points associated with them are also removed from your account, no matter the reason for removal.

if you have saved your scans to a flash drive or such, then you should be able to add them again.

NO....not the point, the images were great and accepted, whether they were removed or not.....The Permission is based on the fundamentals of Image Processing NOT whether they were used.

As long as a member can show he knows how to Process Images that should be enough, he should receive his points, furthering his path to permissions  This ranks right up there as #1 site injustices!

C'mon guys, get it straight..........Worth Points or Not?..........I thought you received points for the scans and number of scans produced? 

One of you say YES, and another says NO.............and a lot of gobbledigook in between.  What is it?

No matter, I made perfect scans, that were accepted, no Queue, loaded to the site. Then taken down, irrelevant to the perfection of the scans.....and the points were removed! That's just not right, Apples and Oranges. I understand maybe losing CL points but not scan points or my ability to process images. I Should be very close to get this permission for image processing.....now this! Can't win on here!

Bob, I could be wrong here but it looks like your inability to properly post a checklist caused the scans to be removed. You can't get/keep points for scans that can't be seen on the site, no matter how perfect the scans are.

Let me put this another way.

• Yes you do get points for uploading scans.
• You also lose points if your scans are removed.

You will get those points back once the checklist is properly created and you promptly re-upload your scans. I get the impression you think you should keep the points even thought your scans (perfect as they may be) are not currently visible on TCDb.

Bob, you get points for scans; that is guaranteed.  But yes, if a card has to be removed, the points are taken away.  I see mine going up and down regularly.  But points are not required to be able to submit scans without needing them to be approved.  That permission is gained by submitting a sufficient number of scans that are approved without needing to be worked on by another member.  You know you have gained this when you submit a scan and the site allows you to approve it right away instead of placing it in your queue for someone else to approve.

I don't get frustrated over losing points that are taken away because my scans had to be deleted for whatever reason decided by Admin.  I do get upset if it is just because a member did not like the scan and wanted to replace it with his own.  I think that is why Admin doesn't remove bad scans and leaves them as "Needing to be Replaced".  It is also one of the reasons why I don't do a lot of scanning anymore (with the exception of the 1989 Donruss VAR set because we wanted it done right).  We all have personal standards but the only standards that should matter is Admin's.  Unfortunately, some have taken it upon themselves to try to enforce their own standards.

I keep waiting for the punch line.  Than it hit me.  It's not a joke.  Someone is actually angry over missing points.  Points that get you nothing.  Un fukking believable
