So I went to edit a card today, my editing was turned on....to my surprise I COULDN"T. Thought it out and tried another set....and on that set no problem.
Why are there sets that don't allow card editing? Is there a list somewhere on here of sets TURNED OFF sitewise? Knowing these sets would certainly save time when you have edits galore.
FYI: It was 1974 Topps Baseball.

The set must already be validated and locked. What was the card and edit you wanted?

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

There is no list that shows all the locked sets, however there are lists of the unlocked sets. Currently, too long of a list to make it a worthwhile effort to determine if a set isn't on the list. I'd personally love to see the site be locked, and then we unlock the sets we're working on, and lock them back up when done. (This is problematic because there are still many sets just flat out missing info and they should not be locked.)
As an aside, most of the mainstream sets are locked at this point.

It was a UER [I guess] of #161, the number 161 is turned vertical while other cards are horizontal.

Nice catch. Did you go through every card and see if there are more?

Had a conversation about 8 months ago with another member regarding adding UER to this card. my response was;
I'm hesitant to add UER notation for things that aren't clearly an error. Misspellings, incorrect pictures, incorrect stats/bios are examples of fine UERs. Unless you worked for Topps in 1974, do you know this wasn't by design (for some other reason)?
The number itself is correct. We're talking simply a design "error" and that's a judgement call. It's not the guy had 33 strikeouts the year before and they put 3. That is an error. It's looking like I'll be out-voted here, but I don't agree with calling such a thing an "error". You open the floodgates for the instances where Topps had 25 of 27 cards from one team using one color of lettering and switching off for the other 2. You going to start calling them UERs as well?

I agree with the color thing, not UERs. Even if they changed the color at some point, that's a VAR not an ERR/COR. But I think in this case, I emphasize "this case", the number was obviously incorrectly oriented. We can always ask Admin's stance.

Same issue with 74 O-Pee-Chee #161.
