Last night I started a thread on ERRs/VARs. I realized I had to edit something, went back and couldn't find it. Figured I forgot to post it, and I would rewrite it today. FUNNY, this morning I got messages from a few friends, asking what happened to my post, they were going to respond.
YOU, don't think it was deleted? It was a factual observation regarding how the site handles certain ERRs/VARs, nothing dramatic, demanding or nasty.. Who has the ability to delete posts? I hope it was deleted in error, because otherwise we have some censorship issues here.
I might have learned a lesson however, write up any lengthy forum post on word so you can just paste it back in, just in case something like this happens to you. We can't have meaningful forum posts lost like this in the future. Now, I guess I need to start all over, rewrite and repost.

For the record, you can count me as one of the individuals who saw your post last night, and now I no longer do. I believe that only Admin has the ability to delete/remove forum postings. I know as a L7 I cannot do so, and I don't see it listed as a permission for a L8.
If members were able to delete posts, there would be many more over the years that I think would have been taken down, simply because they don't agree with the person's opinion.

Nec Aspera Terrent I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

From rules on forums:
Engage in antisocial, disruptive, or destructive acts, including "flaming," "spamming," "flooding," "trolling," and "griefing”;
No, Bob, your constant forum threads with your sometimes veiled demands to have printing glitches documented on this site can be considered "trolling". I think a lot of members are tired of it and have made it quite clear they are. Yet you keep posting threads, or replies in other threads, about them.
So, please take it up with Admin and leave it out of the forums.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Trolling, not quite??? As long as the forum is open to posting, why should I be singled out for asking about ERRs/VARs. There have been at least 6 posts regarding variations recently....they haven't been deleted. Why? So I guess ERR/VAR collectors on TCDB are treated differently then other collectors. I don't collect gaming cards, but they are here, I don't "bash" them or their collectors. I'm not a racing enthusiast, but never comment on racing cards [except collect Truex]. ADMIN, has made it clear, at least to me that the TCDB is for all card collectors. Nobody on this site can deny the interest and collectibility of ERR/VAR cards.....so I don't know why they always get a bad rap from our members. It's really tiresome to be constantly targeted regarding this site, when all I'm trying to do is make it better and more inclusive and concise....It's in no way inflammatory, irrelevant, offensive or disruptive. Why do certain members feel compelled to knock other members, because they have certain viewpoints about collecting? If you don't like ERRs/VARs, don't look, don't comment. But I believe there here to stay, and in so many instances we need to level the playing field.
Just 1 type example: And I would like an explanation, PLEASE
Some cards have "gaps" in the border. Many are listed as either an ERR or VAR, but many are not. Why is that so? Aren't they the same type of error? Or do we choose to pick and choose?

"WE" as you say are not in on this in anyway shape or form Bob. The owner/operator of this site a.k.a ADMIN is the only person I know that can remove posts. We have been here roughly the same amount of time Bob (i think) and I have figured out that he/she gets to make the decisions here when it comes to things like this. I too have talked to him/her about certain things I do not agree with and have been told politely yet firmly that it is NOT going to happen. So either we are all incorrect in saying that obviously there may be an issue with what you are saying/typing with ADMIN or we are all involved in some conspiracy against ERR/VAR collectors. I will go with the consipracy theroy as I am actually typing from my moonbase located on the third moon of jupiter!! Seriously though, I never saw your post but will go with this, ADMIN made a choice, specifically their own. =/
PS I am not insinuating in any way that jupiterhill has moons!!!

So his post got taken down because he's not friends with the clique?

I saw the best cards of my generation destroyed by creases, soft cornered hysterical edge wear, dragging themselves through the hobby shops at dawn looking for a top loader...

Am I haveing déjà vu? Didn't you post something simiilar about a post being deleted before and I thought the best opinion in that case would have been to talk to the Admin instead of starting another thread. Well the only person who can delete threads is the Admin so you need to talk to that person instead of the post route. This is just my 2 cents.
