Guess I'll be the grumpy one on this post. I don't understand why there is a need for external links for individual persons. I mean we already have a short biography of the person. If you want more information about them, I'm sure most people by now know they can look them up on wikipedia or do a google search. Most of those pages usually have links to the specific stat sites if you want to see career stats.
I understand the desire for using external links for sets. I mean we (the site) already has many details about sets thanks to trivia and notes, but its still nice to find more info if needed.
Also not sure why points should be given for adding links to other sites which basically amounts to free advertising to that site. There are so many other things on the site that can be completed to help the site out then adding ways for users to LEAVE the site. If you can't help in those ways, don't worry about it. some of the most helpful people on the site are those that contribute by conversing on the forums, trading with other members, making lists, adding prices, so on. If you can't or don't contribute that way, then that's fine too. Honestly I never intended to use the site more then just to see what cards were in my collection. I'm sure others started that way too. After a while, I found ways to help. I never was forced by others to help, I just did it because I believed in the site. I'm really ranting now, so I'll stop.
Funny thing is, I'm not that mad about this, I just don't see the point of it (it being the external links for individuals). However, if that's how you feel you can contribute best, then go for it.
I was thinking of suggesting having a day were everyone who wanted to could team up and work on some of the things to do. Maybe knock out some DOB's, work on Team Validation or Name Validation, adding checklists. Whatever just have a bunch of people working together to knock out some stuff as a team.
