To touch on a couple points brought up since my initial response:
Bruno is correct - there are several members who do a ton of work here who are nowhere near the top of the point list. One of our hardest working members isn't even in the top 100! (Yes, Kevin, I'm looking at you on that one!)
Ed - with the software that is available for free, there is no need to ever have to scan a card more than once (unless you had it cut off in the original scan). If 100% of the card is in the scan, PhotoScape can rotate it to the exact spot it needs to be to be straight and not crooked. I've been using it for years and it's an amazing product. Billy uses it and recommended it in his tutorial.
Bob - you're getting a point per crop (that winds up being accepted).
I would not penalize (more than the current loss of what was received for the addition) for removing scans. Then it might be a race by certain arrogant members to see who can get the "lowest" number possible (especially if negatives are allowed). Some people are strange like that.
Admin does grant points for various "unsung" activities, albeit in not as large a quantity and it's done on a monthly basis (no instant gratification of seeing your points go up). These activities are essential to keeping the site running.
Anything that is done that makes this site more accurate is GREATLY appreciated, whether it be fixing one team, adding "MEM" to notes in a set (whether doing it yourself or submitting a request for it to be done), or adding a checklist (correct and complete, of course). All makes the crowd-sourcing thing work. :)

Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 10/25/2023). I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned off (details are in my profile). I have (finally) unearthed my 2 very large boxes of Star Company minor league sets and they are available (email for details).
