I close them out without follow-up. If you care that much, log in and ask. Besides, ask questions in the forums. The Irs are for known changes that are needed that you can't (or won't) do yourself.

Agreed; I fix the requests that make sense and are easily doable. But if there's an outstanding issue or question I'll close them out. If a member really wants it fixed, I would hope they sign in and ask about it later.

I do put a message in there indicating that there is no means to contacty the person who entered the request, and if they do see it, to log in and re-submit it with the required info.

Either guests are supposed to be able to do it and a generic name should be used, or they are not and shouldn't be given the option.
Sounds like a bug report that needs to be submitted.

I think like many other database sites, some form of contact is required to make reports (IRs). They either require you to have an account and log-in, or provide contact information (usually just email).
