Here are a bunch of National Park Service sets that aren't in the database.  Some, if not all, exist with two different designs.  I would like to see them added here (I would help with the process) as I have several.  I don't know it they should be considered a separate set for each historic site, or one large set for each layout.  They are unnumbered. No year appears on the cards. I don't even know if the black or the blue/grey are older.  I think the link only shows the black border sets, but another link I've seen from the NPS shows that some sets do exist with both borders, but aren't necessarily full parallels of each other.  Any thoughts?  I expect several contradictory answers, which is why I have waited so many years to even bring it up in the forums.  I already regret asking.  I'm also still mad at a Gettysburg park ranger who refused to give me one because I'm not a child.  I'm also still mad at myself for forgetting to ask for one at Adams NHS.  I think the program has ended but I'm not sure.

I have a couple as well, but no idea what year they are from to even go about starting to list them.

We may not be able to compile a definitive list of all releases, but the above looks like a good place to start, if someone wants to tackle that project.

Very cool! I think they should be listed and here's my thoughts. I would like to point out that my research is extremely limited and I probably don't know what I'm talking about. But here it is anyways.

I think all the "Civil War to Civil Rights" cards should be one set. The different sites/parks should be viewed as subsets. I think a great title would be "2011-2016 National Park Service Civil War to Civil Rights" and I would create the set like this:

• Year: 2011-2016
• Set Name: National Park Service Civil War to Civil Rights
• Brand: National Park Service
• Type: Historical
• Total Cards: 500+ (whatever the actual count is)
• Size: (I didn't research size)

It appears that they started issuing cards in 2011 as part of a 5-year Civil War anniversary campaign. I see the cards promoted on the park/site websites up to 2016 but didn't find any promotions after that date. That would make sense if it was a 5-year campaign. I thnk it would be a NNO checklist sorted by subset. I would list the individual cards like this:

• Card #: NNO
• Name: Senator Orville H. Browning
• Note:
• Note 2: Abraham Lincoln Birthplace

It would make sense that the Civil Rights portion were added to the set later since that campaign did not start until 2014(?). Maybe that's where the border variation comes into play. One border before the addition of the Civil Rights cards and a different border after? Just speculating. I still think they should all be one set though.

I would love to help out on this one but I think I'm spread a little thin on my TCDB projects at the moment. I have several major projects ongoing and I need to clean my plate before adding anything else.

I had that "Master List" saved on my previous cell phone, but couldn't find it on their site last night when I typed this.  I like Chad's idea.  One large set makes the most sense to me.  Would I be wise to just send the link to this forum to Admin in a private message and get his input, and then go from there?

So being a sports card collector and a history nerd, when my son and I visited Independence National Historic park in 2018, we found that there were a lot of trading cards from a variety of sets that could be collected at the various sites.

Some of the sets were old and they did not have all of the cards from the sets, others we were able to get a complete set of.  They even found two old cards buried in the archives and gave them to my son.  It appears that there are three distinct sets there: "Faces of Independence," "Heroes of the Underground Railroad," and "Civil War to Civil Rights" - which is par of a much larger NPS set from the 150th Aniv. of the Civil War.

I can confirm that all of the cards exist because I have all of them.

We were able to acquire two of the cards from this set. (Camp Independence and Edward Baker...apparenty the Lincoln card is the most difficult to find there.  At least thats what we heard from the Park Rangers).

However, I believe this is an older version of the set because when we were there in 2018, they were giving out the set, but a newer version of the cards.  The only card we got from this set is  Absolom Jones from set 4.

The cards we got primarily had the same front, but a different back, but with the same bio info.  Some cards changed, for example  I have a stand alone Dolley Madison and a stand alone James Madison, while this version has her and James on the same card.  I am fairly certain we have the complete set that they gave out in 2018, but I am not sure when it was first produced.

If these sets are in the database, I have not found them.  If not, I am willing to help out with them, however I have never tried to add a set to the datebase.  I know you need a complete checklist.  I am not sure if there is one anywhere other than the ones I linked to.  I also would not know how to label the sets since there does not appear to be a year associated with them that I know of.
