Is it me or do a lot of people have problems with people ignoring trade proposals rather than getting declines? I like to keep proposals open for 30 days before I withdraw them to give people the benefit of the doubt that they are busy with life, but when I see they have logged in 2 or 3 times since I sent the proposal, I get a little perturbed.

Is there a notification feature that they might have turned off?

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Interesting subject. This year of my giving away cards I have had 10 "trade" offers ignored. They weren't two-way trades. They were "free cards for nothing in return" trades. I usually gave them 2 or 3 log-ins then I withdrew.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I am terrible I will admit. I had one trader contact me first asking if it were worth his while and I told him not right now. To me that was the simplest way as I always forget the notifications once they come in. I am a poor trader as in I don't get to them as I always have something else going on. I think I either need to shut off trades completely or change the way I do things. Better to be honest than ignore the topic.

Awgy Dawgy, seems to be prevelent here. While I've made 100 trades, I've withdrawn over 25 proposed trades. As you say, they log on, but for some reason don't decline. I've even had a few that were countering-for over a week! I usually leave a proposal up for 2 weeks. Overall, it's been a good experience though, some folks I've traded with 2-3 times, as I add new wants.

It happens. I have one that I can't figure out. I have offered a few trades over time and get ignored every time even though he trades with other members.

When I 1st started here I made several offer before I seen that the members have not been on site for a long time. Had to withdraw them. My Bad. Now I only make offers if the member has been on site in the last couple of weeks Since then I have withdrawn 3 offers after 3 weeks of waitin.. I have 3 offers out there now. I try only to have 3 or 4 offers at one time so I can get them done. I have several times messaged members and ask about trade before making offers. At times I have not gotten replies from my messages. Several members do not want to do one to one trades. With my tough want list it is hard to find members with more the a couple of cards I need.

I like to send a message first to ask if they have time for a trade. If no reply, then I did not waste time pulling cards

This site has quite a few great members but like every group you have bad one or ones who are just not as thoughtful, I had trades out to give away cards with either ignored or declined after a long while. I don't keep offers out too long and have to withdraw after a few days as I have alot of other trades going or I travel for work alot and often in places with no cell reception, but I make it a must to answer everyone no matter what, even the one who offered me a 1994 Topps Bill Krueger for the 1992 UD Derek Jeter. I have even done a transaction while attending my mom's funeral and the other member didn't reply to messages for weeks and sent the cards months later after I had already done another trade for same cards. I do keep track of who I would trade with and who I wouldn't, that is the nature of the beast on these sites. I do say overall the ones I do trade with, I make sure to let them know of any changes or if unabe to do.
