Well, today I have decided to take a prolonged break from much of this site and will turn my full attention to enjoying my collection. I have contemplated this several times in the last 2-3 months and today things have tipped the scale to it being the better decision.  I have plenty to do in my collection that I have slowly worked on while contributing to the database but for personal reasons, I will now dedicate all of my time to my own.

This does not mean that I am not willing to continue actively trading with the  many members who have proposed trades with me in the past; that is one part of the hobby that I really enjoy - receiving cards that I need for my collection in exchange for cards someone else wants. Obviously I will be on this site every day as it is a major part of our methods in tracking our collections which I will continue to do for my own.

What it does mean is that I will not be "seen" in the Forum threads nor will I be uploading images of cards that are in my collection, correcting checklists, defining abbreviations, etc. If I have offended anyone in any of my Forum posts, well I can't say I am sorry for what I posted because if I was, I wouldn't have posted it in the first place. All I can say is that it was not meant to offend anyone in particular but to bring awareness to less than desired practices (my opinion).

You will be missed. Enjoy your collection for awhile and come back to us when you're comfortable. You've certainly never done anything to offend me, and I consider you to be a very valuable member of the site, as do many others, I'm sure. But I think everyone should try to take the occasional break from just about everything at some point. It refreshes and gives new perspective. Again, enjoy. See you soon enough, I hope.

I concur sandy, enjoy the break. And only do what you feel is right for you, regardless of your hobby or in life. Have a great year. Hope to see you again sometime.

 I've read all your posts and never saw you offend anyone.   Can't wait until someone posts "He's ba-a-a-a-ck" in a few months.

So long.  I'm in the same boat, though I do still look at the forums maybe once a week.  I'm only here now to ID a few cards.  I'm sure you'll be back eventually, when you're ready.  Enjoy your time away.
