Yeah, that's the only reason I stayed away from boxes/penny sleeves for so long. I HATE the curving. I still have most of my sets in binders, 18 cards per page. I really ought to move the newer cards with gloss into a box or just 9 cards per page because of the dreaded sticking.
I don't know why, but I just really like the feel of cards in penny sleeves. The way they slide, it's so smooth and it just feels right...
Well, this is getting weird.

Well Billy, considering the way I store my cards (boxes only no sleeves or toploaders) was advice you gave me last year, it's hard to argue with your apprentice assessment haha.
The only reason I ever debated going back to albums was because I noticed some cards slightly getting curves. However, after I probably annoyed everyone with multiple posts about it, it seems that this is natural for some sets. So, I'm back to being fully on board with the Billy Kingsley storage method. It changed my hobby life, and got approval from my wife. (that's my infomercial testimony for you).

I've been box only since 2000. To me you're all apprenteces. And I have not even used any mind tricks on you!
To answer the original question, I have no idea. I generally have the cards in the boxes without anything else. At some point I need to photograph the cards where the penny sleeve pulled off the foil or permanently imprinted it's sticking pattern on the card.
There are some sets that require it, though. Some cards will stick without them.
