Stealth PIF! Seriously, received a timely PIF today with no markings or clue whom it came from. Well, it's from Canada and I swear I know the writing, but nada/ Timely as I am sitting here reconcilling my collection and many of the cards are from the years I am working on tonight. Whomever sent it, thank you!

Probably the same guy who sent me a PIF I received today. But he's not so stealthy, his modus operandi was obvious to me..lol.

As usual a timely PIF - they always are - and this one from switzer1 (David). Received a Lee Smith/Randy Myers all-star card that inched me closer to completing a set, and two Houston Rockets cards, Sleepy Floyd and Purvis Short.
The Short card instantly brought back memories of my men's basketball league. I'm 5'9" and one time I received a pass a couple of feet to the right of the elbow with a decent opening. As I'm shooting the opposing F/C at least 6'5" rushes at me and jumps to block my shot. I got it away on a rainbow arc and the defender shouted, "Short!", to which I instinctively responded, "Purvis!", and swooshed it through for two.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster. |

My wife is having a rough go of it today...health issues...which makes a rough day for me. Non-stop pouring outside. I've been working on cards all morning, eyes are starting to blur. God I hate what has happened to us. Screw it, I gotta go outside and DO something...I'll get the mail!! Something in an unmarked, no return address envelope, but the postmark says Grand Rapids, MI. Something tickles my brain....who IS that? I know, but I don't know. Open it dumass!! A couple 2017 Topps off my Wantlist and a Donnie Baseball Triple Play!! Wife looks at me smiling and laughs, I laugh. Hell, things aint so bad!! We've got friends behind us!!!!
