I'm fairly new here and working on my 3rd and 4th trades. For some reason I thought using the transaction manager would add or remove cards from my collection and For Trade lists. Looking back at my 1st 2 trades that doesn't seem to be the case. Am I doing something incorrectly or do I actually need to go in and adjust my collection for trades?

You have to use Method 2 to select the cards. Then you and your trade partner have to complete the transaction steps in order; Accept, Package Sent, Package Received, Transaction Completed. I've never had a problem following these steps.
I've had trade partners that have skipped steps and the outgoing cards stayed "In Transit". I had to manually remove them. But as long as I followed all the steps (in order) my incoming cards updated correctly.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

C2C thank you. Now i know why some of mine did it too. A small trade I would skip the receive and go right to complete.
Now to remember what cards I have coming so I don't trade for same card a 2nd time. does removing card from want list effect the card being added to collection when a trade is completed? How about handling a card I have offered for trade, when does that get removed from my "For Trade" list so others don't see it as availible?

After ending up with a few duplicates, I've kept my trades to one at a time.
Cards on your Wantlist are automatically moved to In-Transit when your trade partner completes the "Package Sent" action. I've never attempted to manually remove cards from my Wantlist prior to that or immediately after the trade is "Accepted". Might be interesting to try it with one card and see what happens.
The cards on your For Sale/Trade list are automatically moved to the In-Transit list when you do the "Package Sent" action. And then are no longer available to others.

okay C2C
i did one and what i found was if you delete from wantlist (red) no problem it being added as have (light blue).
But do not delete as for trade/sale (green) as it will not show as in as in transit (Dark Blue) or in the others colection when trade done

I am not sure if the cards on your wantlist are marked as in transit when the cards are marked as sent from th etrade partner. I will check with this latest trade coming my way. I too have neded up with a few doubles beause of multiple trades ongoing. i often wished that my want list would be updated when the cards were sent or involved in another trade proposal.

@sandyrusty when they say sent your wants go "in transit" dark blue.
If they wait a week to send like only can get to post office on sat your wants are pink all week.
But as I tested this morning you can remove card from want list. It will still show in transit when they click sent

I didn't review my third trade very closely so I may be experiencing trading for something I already traded for. I did have to dip into my pc to get some cards they wanted. Wasn't a big deal but I'm pretty sure the issue came from my for trade list didn't update. Is it possible to add pricing to cut down on some of the time in determining equal values in trades?

C2 and all,
From a trade that is in progress, I can tell you that the cards on your For Sale/Trade List do become In-Transit when you update to Package Sent but the same is not true for the cards your trading partner is sending you. They remain in your Wantlist (in pink) till you update to Package Received. This has been the cause of some duplicates I received in a couple of trades.
Admin, can this be looked at? If cards being sent to someone were shown as " in transit to" with a colour coding ther than pink and not showing up in their Wantlist anymore, while those being sent out are "in transit from" as presently shown, then cards in trades would not be duplicated (unless being proposed at close to the same time). If a trade fell through and was not completedbecause the package was not received, the cards could go right back into the Wantlist.

i agree completely with @sandyrusty and would expand it to have something like a shopping cart where cards being proposed for trade would go before and after a trade was accepted and before the package sent action moved them to in transit.
