I got a Tom Seaver boxloader triple mini card in my 2023 Allen & Ginter box today. It's killing me. I really want to rip it. Is this a terrible idea?

If you're not planning on selling, I'd rip it. Just my opinion.

I had the same dilemma with a 2020 A&G Judge rip card.  I went through what you are going through but finally rationalized it as I'm not an investor.  I'd have tons more fun opening it with kid.  And I did.

In retrospect I could have sold it for more than the mini was worth but still a very cool card (mini EXT Koufax).

Biggest dilemma I have had as well. I ended up ripping and got a Sandberg mini. The "What if?" there is an Acuna auto or something like that in there is what got me. 

Go for it! Connect with your collector's heart - stop suppressing it! That's the issue.

Ok perhaps sell it and use the money to buy more cards also could be a option 

Yeah, these are interesting. I pulled one last year in A&G. The card was serial numbered, and I ripped it...to get a non-serial numbered card. Hmm...

Ended up with two worthless mini parallels and a really cool Miguel Cabrera stained glass. Between that and the now only front of the Seaver card I’m pretty happy. Thank you all!

I believe it was the image variation one as well
