I have had fun over the past 6 years renewing the fun that I had once as a kid.
Some of you may know my personal story of adopting 5 kids from foster care. My oldest (16) who we had since he was 4 has had a rough past couple of years so much so we had to seek residential treatment but now insurance is no longer paying for it and we as his parents don't have the means to sustain his care. I look around and the most logical source of extra money is my collection so that's the first thing that must go. I have to be done with the hobby, unfortunately. So take a look and let me know if you see anything that you might want.
Thanks,
Bobby

His problem is he's not safe to be around other children so that limits our options severely.
Even after getting him at age 4 the damage that was done to this sweet kid was just disgusting.

God bless you and your family for doing everything you can to provide stable loving homes for these kids. (My wife has 7 siblings, all adopted from foster care, and my parents were foster parents for over 20 years!) I wish you well and hope you can get the necessary services your son needs.

I mean you've probably already asked but did you inquire in the local school system? They might have resources also your local county health department or some county office or like a outreach or lighthouse program

We've walked a similar journey and currently have one adopted ourselves. We have heard the stories and I know that those early wounds are terrible. Be kind to yourself and you haven't failed, you are still moving forward. You've done a beautiful thing.

I'm mostly organizing over adding right now.

I have great empathy for you, having gone thru the process as well. Can your adoption agency offer any assistance? I know every state is different but does your son have insurance thru the state?
PM me if you need an ear. Remember, you are not alone.

Yeah, he's been in treatment for 15 months. It didn't have to be that long but he made the choice not to participate. Where he's at is usually court ordered but we were proactive and got him in there before the courts got involved. He hasn't made changes and because of the liability we have no places to seek out on our own.
