I'm attracted to the artistry of many inserts, but I do draw the line on SNs or autos. I also accept the challenge of completing them. My first complete set was the 1969 Topps Deckle Edge inserts. Slowly since then I've sought out inserts. The harder ones for me are the post-2000s since they could include Pujols, Jeter, Griffey Jr. and most of the time that raises the ante beyond what I can afford. Over the past few years I've tried collecting every New Age Performers set, the inserts in Topps Heritage, but have had to resort to purchasing since trade options are very limited due to my inability to match the needs of those who have them, which much of the time is similar product.
“Aslan didn't tell Pole what would happen. He only told her what to do. That fellow will be the death of us once he's up, I shouldn't wonder. But that doesn't let us off following the signs.” - Puddleglum in The Silver Chair by C. S. Lewis
