I am certain that this has been addressed before, but I am having a serious problem with most of the cards being automatically adjusted to 18 cents in value. Just one example: 1992 Score The Franchise Carl Yastrzemski, changed to 18 cents by the influence of Sportlots, yet when you go to Sportlots to look at the card, the cheapest one they have for sale there is 97 cents. That's the case for most cards I have bothered to take the time with. Anybody care to comment?

I'm thinking there is some bad math in the system. If you click on the Median Price of 0.18, it lists the last 23 reported prices that have been entered in the site. $0.18 is the lowest price, not the median. If nothing else the "median price" feature is not implemented correctly.
Also, the prices are supposed to be confirmed sales, not list prices. So what the card may be listed at on Sportlots currently is not relevant. People list common cards for $50 on eBay, but that doesn't mean $50 should be factored into the pricing for a 1990 Donruss Spike Owen.
If the price data is up-to-date, then the last time the card sold on Sportlots was 6 years ago for 18 cents.

Since this has been discussed in several other threads, don't expect a favorable reaction.
Edit to add:

Actually last 5 prices reported, in order from highest to lowest:
0.35
0.23
0.18
0.18
0.18
Mathemetically, the Median is the middle value in this list - which is 0.18. The calculation in the system is correct. The Mean is the sum divided the number of entries, which if we're using only these five entries would be $0.224 (22.4 cents). There is one other mathematical average which is Mode, which is simply the most common entry, which is again 18 cents, but this is a rarely used "average".

Is there a way to view Sportlots sales history (like there is on COMC), to see if they actually sold three cards at 18 cents?

It is literally listed in the pricing data. Just click on it. And I guess Dan is correct, 0.18 is the median. Average would probably be a better value to go with, perhaps with a trend indicator to show whether the average was going up or down as of the last reported sale. I'm still curious if the card in question really hasn't sold a copy in 6 years on Sportlots.
The last 5 sales of that card on eBay were sold for:
3.46
0.99
0.99
1.49
1.79
Unfortunately, on eBay you can't really list cards for anything less than 0.99 without gouging on shipping to avoid losing money. Someone is welcome to plug updated values in to the system here to update the information. That's kind of what the pricing system is for. If you disagree with the values, populate more values.

Sounds like the pricing does indeed work sometimes. .18 seems perfectly reasonable in this instance

Yes it has been posted many times. Many replies to each of them. Maybe a Stickily Posting would stop or slow them down.
Personally, I would like the site to have a "Stickily Posting" about Prices here. It could have links to all of the other postings about prices. Member (new and old) could read up on all the input for all different members before adding another posting about prices.
The FAQ explains it BUT not all members read them. Some just want to let off steam at a time they are frustrated.
I have asked Admin about having a Stickily posting, but he turned it down noting the FAQ area. Maybe if more of us asked he would change his mind.
Sorry for posting this twice but maybe it needs to be. I have even thought about making a long reply with everything members have posted in word and every time I see a new posting on prices just copy and paste it.

Copy/Paste might save some time in the long run, unfortunately I doubt a sticky gets read any more than the FAQ. That's not meant to be a dig at anyone, just path of least resisitance for most is to ask instead of search
