Wondering if anyone knows the type of cardstock to use for printing a custom card. I'm mainly wondering about what thickness to use to equate to the thickness of a standard baseball card. I'm not really familiar with paper thickness terminology and such, so haven't been able to figure this out. Thanks!

I used 17 pt (point) (0.017 inch) cardstock for my sets.

My printer can handle 25 pt but my source was out-of-stock, so I used 17 pt.
I've also used 140 lb. art stock.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Out of curiosity, which printer do you recommend? Was the card stock semi-glossy?

Mine is a Canon MP990. I requested a sample pack of 14 pt, 17 pt, and 25 pt to test on my printer. No gloss but ultra-bright white smooth surface.

Thank you! One last question: how did you get a uniform cut on the cards?

Reference marks and careful use of a paper cutter.

Awesomecards Chuck, so glad to be included in your sets. My grandson loves seeing Gramps on cards.

Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

I use 110 lb. Glossy. I think that's 18 pt. Not super thick, they feel like 90s cards.
