Not sure if anyone asked this or not.
How often do you visit you LCS?
And how far are you willing to travel to visit a LCS?

There are three around me but I only visit one of them. I used to go weekly but now that I discovered comc, it's maybe every two or three weeks. And only to peruse the vintage- their packs are out-of-control expensive.

My main one is about 30 minutes away. I used to visit weekly but recently with expanded work schedule and home stuff to do it is about once a month now. There are two other ones close by as well. One is about 45 minutes south, not a bad store but they concentrate more on those framed jerseys, helmets and other autographed paraphernalia. The third one is about 45 minutes to the north. I like this store but the traffic in that area can be a hassle sometimes.

Annually, on National Baseball Card day, but they never seem to realize they are supposed to give out the packs to anyone who asks for them. Not 1 per family. They also didn't get it when I took in a bunch of the Spring Fever redemptions and they'd only redeem one card. I don't think I even bothered this past year.
I did see that 2 other shops have opened nearby. One, however, from what I have I heard is pretty much a slab museum. I'll pass, thanks. The other looks promising, but I haven't been able to make the time to go to it. (For those in the area, East Coast Card Collector, 2429 Route 55, Hopewell Junction, NY. I have coupon here for 10% off first prurchase, but it expires soon, so I better go soon.) Actually drove past it back in November when we went to get our Christmas tree and then found the coupon in a local mailing.

When i lived in Odessa Tx i used to stop by 2-3 times a week. Now that I live in Nacogdoches Tx we do not have a LCS and i think tje closest one is in Dallas or Houston. Still 3.5 hours each direction so when i go back to work (for 2 weeks) I try to stop by at least once a month. If they have a box of baseball i will buy the unopened box if not i will buy some supplies at least. Usually penny sleeves or team and graded bags to ship cards in

Once every 3 months for supplies. Card protectors, sleeves, and boxes. I will however make a trip for Topps Update whenever they come out.

I go at least once a month. Sometimes I don't because of weather.

With the current pandemic/post-pandemic surge in interest we have actually had a couple of card specific stores open in New Zealand. As silly as it sounds this is pretty remarkable as I don't think we have had a physical store devoted to cards in 15+ years.
Both were in Christchurch, which is about 3 and a half to 4 hours from where I work. One closed fairly quickly and went back to online only as they discovered rent is rather pricey!
The other is actually operating out of one of the owners garages, but is very nicely done. I am sure it violates all sorts of council by-laws wrt zoning etc. It is down a quiet residential cul-de-sac and I have no idea what the neighbours think when cars start lining up outside.
I have only been there once (I did go to the house to pick up some cards back in 2020 as well). They mainly specialise in modern cards and as mentioned earlier in this thread pack and box prices are horrendous so unfortunately there isn't much there for me.
They are nice guys and very helpful and proactive so I will certainly support them where I can as it is great just to be able to say I have an LCS again.
