That is does. When I came back into the hobby I had no intent to chase hockey sets. Oops... somehow I completed the 70s run of Topps sets before I finished baseball. Now for the rest of those pesky OPC 70s sets
Tho I should admit that that was probably more due to member influence than the info in the DB. At same time, I have found so many new things and things I missed when I was away that the statement still holds true.

I often wonder this myself. Would I collect, or even be aware of, half the cards on my want list if I didn't have access to the knowledge-base that this database provides? I feel it definitely influences collecting habits and strategies.

Yes, this is a great community and am thrilled with what I've been able to acquire and trade away thanks to all of this. But I will die on this hill of not paying a monthly fee for the convenience of not being annoyed by ads that disrupt the experience.
