A 1956 mantle to finish my set and a 1969 waxpack series three from the year i started. I opened a ton of 69 packs and tossed the wrappers.

Definitely Vintage. Part of it would be some good old 1965 so I can get the 49% I need to complete the set.

Still too many cards to sort & inventory, to consider this myself right now, but who knows, I might get surprised some day soon? As long as I can continue to trade with so many of You, all is good and I appreciate those opportunities the most!!

It took me a day to come up with an answer and it is.
A ride in a time machine.
So I could go back to 1974 and talk my 9-year-old self into never opening one of the 4 Topps packs my Father let me pick out, from the first time I got baseball cards. That way I would still have it, and it would be on my wall in a frame.

Anything 1954-1969 Topps that's on my wantlist. I'd probably start with the less expensive cards to build out the sets as much as I could. Then, move toward the more expensive cards until the cash ran out.

I'll play this "game". If I had $1K to spend on anything cards...
Single card = Top choice would be a Stan Musial RC, plus anything else I can add for my STL PC.
Unopened product = I'd have to go with 2001 products to hope to hit the Pujols and Ichiro RC's.
If you add other sports in that...
NFL - year 2000 products to hit more Tom Brady RC's for my PC
NBA - gotta be 1986-87 for the Jordan RC or 1996-97 for the Kobe RCs
NASCAR - it can ONLY be the 1988 Maxx set (or the 1982 UNO set)
No matter what sport or product, I will not go with new cards over the older stuff. New is lazy and has false "rareness". SN10 means absolutely nothing if there are 10 versions of it alone and then there are still 1/1 plates and 6 other versions that are lower SN's. 2020+ cards mean nothing when it comes to SN's.
