I have various Archives Retired player autographs for Jorge Posada. For example, "2022 Topps Archives Signature Series Retired Player Edition" I noticed that none of these "sets" have a checklist.
When taking the quizzes and increasing my site access up to create checklists, it clearly states not to add a checklist unless you have the entire checklist, but the actual checklist for these sets are not typically released. The players included are released, but the actual cards they sign and the SN are not.
So my question is, is it ok to submit partial checklists for these types of set so I can add them to my collection and add images? Further, as I find additions to that set, can I simply update the checklist?

Short answer, only complete checklists.
-------------------------------
Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Hi. Thanks for asking the question and not just doing whatever and not being concerned. This is helpful!
For these, most likely any checklists added ARE partial checklists, since Topps never releases a list of the cards actually signed and stamped for release. What we do ask is that you be as complete as possible when starting the checklist. I will search ebay and COMC for both currently available and completed (ebay) and sold out (COMC) to get a more comprehensive starting checklist. Then, we're usually only adding a card here and there as they are discovered and reported.
So, yes, feel free to add a partial checklist in these Topps Archives Signature Series cases, but please be as thorough as possible. Thanks!

I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned off (details are in my profile). I have (finally) unearthed my 2 very large boxes of Star Company minor league sets and they are available (email for details).

It has been helpful when you find all the cards you can. Post the listings here before adding the check list. That way if any other members know of any other cards, they all can be added at once.

Perfect thanks! I will be as thorough as possible before I submit. Glad to hear I can add something so I can post images of my collection.
Sorry meant to caption your reply. Thanks again!

A follow up question to this is how to describe the actual card signed by the player. Would it be logical to put the card description (ex: 2008 Allen & Ginter) in the field for the player name? In these "sets" they are already listed by the player name, so we know all cards in the checklist are that same player.
Otherwise, the only differentiating attributes are card number and SN. The card numbers are of course based on the original card and could overlap, and many are SN 1/1 so those would all overlap.
Thoughts?

I would recommend checking another player who already has cards entered, and follow how that checklist is done. That way, if someone says you did it wrong, you have something to fall back on.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Thanks, there are obviously a lot of players listed, but the only one I found with anything listed in a quick pass of 2021 was Cecil Fielder and it was only one card. It just listed as his name and card number so you needed to open the image to see which card it was. I think using the traditional player name field for the card description would be more beneficial to someone looking at the checklist in the future.
Is there anyone I can reach out to for admin feedback? I didn't want to just submit it that way and have it get rejected.

One of the other veteran members will probably see this soon and give you a better answer than I had. I just took for granted that we had members who had bought a lot of these so the checklists would be bigger for some guys.
