I keep telling my wife when I finally finish my 71 set I'm going to crack a bottle of champaign since I've been working that one so long. Down to around 50 cards needed to finish it off. I totally get how hard it is to finish those sets off. What makes it even more challenging in my case is I have a hard rule of never spenidng more than $5 for a single card (I've broken it only once spending $6 for Henderson's rookie).

Congratulations. A goal achieved should always be savoured.
Best of luck with the rest of the sets on your list.

You're not the only one with such a rule. And I never understand it. Even greatly compromising on condition, I couldn't get through a vintage set without spending, er, considerably more. If you have secrets to share on where I could find certain stars for those kinds of prices, please share them. I just might not be creative enough....

Congrats, I love the feeling of completing a set especially if its a more difficult one like that one. Celebrate the win and on to the next.

Congrats!!! I'm still 30 to 40 cards away on my 68 set. Had the same feeling of accomplishment when I located the last 1955 High number to complete my 1955 set. Due to all the hunting and because, I got a great deal, I purchased an entire 69 set to avoid putting that monster together. When I finish the 68 set, I'm not sure what I will work on afterwards.
