I'm curious about something:
Will modern-day rookie cards (e.g. McDavid YG 201, etc.) appreciate over the years as have rookie cards of the past?
With the present-day mechanics of cataloguing, grading, etc. taking some of the mystique out of The Hobby (good, bad, or indifferent), is there any reason to believe that a $2,000 card today will be worth tens of thousands in 40 years?
If this conversation has happened already in this forum, please forgive me and point me to it; I searched but didn't quite find a comparable thread. Thanks!
