Very interesting collaboration that I hope benefits every member of either site and those working for either site.

Received the following message from Sportlots today. So looks like TCDb data has been brought into Sportlots. Not sure if Sportlots data has come into TCDb yet.
As you may already be aware, due to the partnership with the Trading Card database, we were able to
quickly obtain a very large database of Non-Sports sets. The vast majority of these (27,142
sets!) have now been loaded to Sportlots and are ready for sellers to start adding inventory.
At this time, Non Sports cards are only available for sellers to load inventory. They will not be
available for buyers to search and purchase yet. We want to get a good amount of inventory before
we open this up for our customers to search and purchase.
So, get your inventory loaded asap, the date a card is entered is one criteria to determine the order
in the search results. The earlier you get cards loaded, the better opportunity to get listed higher
in the search results. Also, we will be adding visibility when we open these cards to customers by
adding a new Banner on Sportlots.com and promoting on Twitter and other social media outlets.
About 90% of the Non Sports checklists have been added. We are waiting on the other 10% until we have
some specific enhancements added to the site. Those enhancements will be completed in the next few weeks.
Also, we have sets from Bench Warmer, Playboy and other sets that the Trading Card Database calls
"pin-up" sets. I will be also adding an enhancement at the same time that will prevent pictures from being
loaded for these particular sets. I have decided, it is best to not allow pictures for these types of
cards on Sportlots. Until this enhancement is complete, if you are loading cards for these sets, please
refrain from adding pictures. We will end up just deleting the pictures anyway when we do this enhancement
or earlier if we are notified that they exist.
Have fun loading.. I know a lot of you have been waiting a long time for this!
Thanks!

Yet they've always allowed those images in their auction listings.

I would prefer a collection that is uploaded into sports lots. Where you could add your FS/FT that would automatically be uploaded into your sprotslots profile and your wants added to that would be run once a week and sent to you via email. The toggle would be a great start but making it its own collection would make it great. also if you traded or sold a card it would update in the appropriate place so you don't have to do both.

Could be solved by an toggle or other option. But, of course, everything is just wish and speculation right now....

It wouldn't help me. I don't want to sell my duplicates - they're for trade only.

Maybe farfetched but it'd be awesome if TCDB FS/FT inventory would automatically be listed FS on Sportlots too. That would streamline things for me quite a bit.

I also hope that this would allow feedback to be transparent between the two sites. So maybe if you are a sportslots user your feedback would show on here if you wanted to start trading. And if you are a high trader here it would show in your sportslots that you are a preferred trader so people buy your cards with little feedback on sprotslots.

Your statement about the Sportslots site being terrible makes me feel better about not even being able to figure out how to use the Sportslots site when I looked into it about a year ago. It was a very strange site.

Thw owner of Sportlots Max Steiner was on the most recent episode (#189) of the WaxPackHero podcast and talked about the partnership with TCDb. He mentioned that he had read this TCDb post and he thought there were some good ideas being discussed here.
A few other interesting things he mentioned as related to TCDb:
- The current partnership provides Sportlots with only non-sport checklists from TCDb.
- They are considering future partnership opportunities with TCDb.
- Possibility of maybe selling cards from the TCDB platform?
I'd be very excited if the third one would come to fruition since I am on both sites. Strealming to a single platform would be a game changer for me.

I was going to put my FS/T up there for sale and the interface to add cards is so tedious I stopped. I will have to see if it has improved or if there will be an easier way to list my collection directly from TCDB
