So I will Apologize to people who can't read. But I try to get my trades out as quick as possible. .y work schedule clashes with the post office schedule. Lately I've been playing catch up with important bills. But some traders don't want to hear that. They must live in mom's basement. So to the traders I do not ignore trades. I am on them. But I don't take the cards to work with me lol. So I'll ask here. If you trade with me please be patient I do what I can. I am sorry I have to pay bills. And at times it takes every penny. Which lately is no joke. Ok thanks for your time guys. Rant over

I'd turn trades off and enjoy the hobby in another way until things get better.

Yes but it's active trades that people complain about.

Did you explain this to them BEFORE you accepted their trades (or proposed the trades)?
Looking through your feedback shows a history of the same thing.

He does have be patient in is profile but a lot of members do not read the profiles of traders.
On the side of shutting off your trades I have seen lately more members have their trades shut off for short periods of time. (Life may have gotten in the way) I have even gotten an offer with a member with his trades off so shutting off your trades do not stop you from making offers. Appears some members prefer doing it that way.

Well since this post is about my trade I'll just go ahead and comment. He initiated the trade on 8/11. There would be NO reason for me to look at his profile. My cards went out on 8/13 and were received by him on 8/17. He still hasn't shipped his cards. Almost 3 weeks later I had the nerve to inquire as to the status of my cards. Keep in mind he never mentioned anything about not being able to ship until he saved up enough money for a stamp or communicated with me in any way. I offered to send him a stamp. He declined and decided to put this rant on here. In the time it took him to do this he could have shipped my 3 cards. I wouldn't have even given him the time of day but the comment of me not being able to read and sitting in my mom's basement from a guy who can't afford a stamp just pissed me off. Here's an idea. Don't propose trades you can't fulfill and if you do communicate with your trading partners.

Always looking for Blackhawk hockey, Notre Dame Football, White Sox and Bears Stuff. I have a plaque in my card room that says, "I could have been a millionaire but my mom threw out my baseball cards". How apropos!!! Collecting Chicago Blackhawks Hockey, Doug Wilson Hockey, Chicago Bears Older, Notre Dame Football in their college jerseys and Chicago White Sox.

I don't have an opinion on this, I just wanted to give a shout out to all of Ma's basement boys out there. Here's hoping the old lady's heart softens up a bit and she yells down "come on up! I got a roast in the oven and I opened up the hide-a-bed!"

Personally I think the key take away from this thread is communication. It only takes a couple seconds to post a message or comment on a thread. If you are having problems causing a delay, let the other person know. Most people are understanding.
Between having Covid a few months ago to throwing my back out, I've had problems which have delayed shipping on my end. I try my best to let the other party know that it would be a few days and everyone understands. I've been on the other side as well, having people saying they had whatever come up and wouldn't be able to ship the cards until a certain day.
It's all about communication. And as Budler points out, just because something is in your profile, don't assume people will read it. A couple people here have profiles that are so long it's like a book. When it's more than a paragraph or two I admit I'll skip over it, just reading bits.
