I've discovered that some reprinted cards included in booster packs are part of a Magic The Gathering set called "The List", according to TCGPlayer.com.

Is that set listed here anywhere, or can I request it be done? I have several reprints, and all have a trident symbol in the lower left of the card.

Any info would be welcome!

Do you have a link with examples and the possible checklist of the cards?  I found this link but if you hover over the cards I don't see the trident identifier you mentioned which makes me think this might be different from what you are talking about.

Ya I've been thinking on how this need to go into TCDB myself and what the correct list is.  It rotates.  I think I only have one card I've identified off hand in my collection.

Glossed over this.  This is at least accurate for what they snuck into Zendikar Rising.  

Intuitively, it would seem to be an insert set in multiple releases. The challenge is figuring out which ones are released in which boosters. Might be "easier" if it was just a multi-yeared set, with new cards added as they are found (similar to inventory and listings on TCGPlayer).

I was thinking the same thing.  I'm not sure if the cards on that 300 card list change or not, that is the confusing part.  Going to be difficult to keep track of probably.

They do change. The current count on TCGPlayer is 782.

This set may be sort of like the Pokemon Promo cards, like SWSHxxx numbers...it increases with each set release.

Using the data from Scryfall there is 814.  Compiling the card numbers will be a bit of a challenge.
