Hello Forum Members,
I am interested in details about these stickers on some of my foil boxes. These are under the shrink wrap, so the box must have been opened at some time. The "full box" sticker is over the original UPC. I have not been able to find much about the "Vintage Sports Cards", if it is a company. I am familiar with finding boxes in "big lots" type stores or toy stores that were bulk buy out for resale. I can't figure why the boxes were opened unless to search the packs and package as full boxes for resale. Anyway, just wondered what information the members may have about this. As always, thanks for reading this and for your time. Regards, Dave

It would help if you can provide some images of the boxes you are talking about.
If you mean "Repacked Wax"? https://www.repackedwax.com/ They are legit. There is a huge surge on YouTube box breaking channels of this type of box break. Some of them like Repacked Wax are legit others might not be. There is one YouTube guy "The Past is Alive" in particular who gets sent repacked boxes from his viewers many of them are one-offs that are gifting him.

Thanks for the reply. I had to get these images uploaded to display here. This Hi-Tech foil box is sealed with the "Vintage" sticker under the shrink wrap. The "Full Box" sticker is covering the original UPC. Usually Hi-Tech boxes have the logo on the wrapper, as lots of companies have. I think I have this same type of sticker on a Maxx sealed foil box and mayber another or two. I appreciate your time.

That company (Vintage) used to sell old hobby & retail boxes at retail outlets like Kmart & Target way back in the 1990s. There were typically a few set price points like $9.99, $11.99, $19.99 & $29.99. They did seal their boxes after applying the new "V" price tag, as some of the older '80s boxes weren't originally sealed, like Topps & Donruss. The new UPC was added to align with the new price - and the "B" may just correlate to their $11.99 price level.
From my experience, back then, they were a trustworthy company - as I always pulled the expected number of inserts. However, a lot can happen to a "sealed box" over 25 years, so use your best judgement as to whether it was re-resealed or not.

I've opened many of those Hi-Tech boxes with the "Vintage" re-wrap and never had a problem. I didn't supect any of them to have been searched.
If you open that one and pull a Preview Proof that you don't need, please keep me in mind for a trade. I'm still looking for some for myself and friends.

I remember boxes with that sticker stacked by the cash registers at places like Kmart when they couldn't give junk wax away. To your right at the checkout would be boxes of cards instead of rows of candy and chapstick.

Thanks Tom,
I'll keep the box sealed for now. I think the "Preview Proof" set was unusually rare for Hi-Tech. Factory sets and inserts that were much easier to pull (and complete) were the norm. A 70 card set, inserted maybe 1 per foil box, is a mega challenge to complete. Sounds like maybe you are close and trying. As always, your replies and information is appreciated.
