I'm hoping others recall when it was, but earlier this year there was an update to the pricing system that caused auto-submit permissions to be removed from accounts, including mine, and it needed a quick update to be restored. Have you tried contacting Admin through DM?

I'm relatively "Newer" to this site. Love it a lot, a handful a things I do not. One issue would be the pricing. Yes, I understand that the "pricing" on this site is by member submissions and MANY/MOST are outdated. I try to contribute to this site as much as I can but I gave up on submitting prices several months in on becoming a member here. It was very frusting to do all the research of a recently sold card to only have it denied or declined when all the proof was submitted. So now I just contribute by scanning some cards that there is not a pic for. I just leave my recent entry to my collection w/o a price or with the one that pops up when entered. Unless it is a specific card, like a card to my PC. But I just adjust the price myself on my collection. That seems to work fine for me. But in reality I don't use this site for pricing. Pricing is irrelevant on this site. Trades for ex, idc what the pricing says on this site. I honestly don't even look at it because ik it is not current nor correct in most cases. I'll keep the trade open so I can see the cards being traded and use another device and check current prices elsewhere. It would be nice to get some sort of system added into this website that tracks and updates current sold prices. Would save us users a lot of time.

Dude, chill. I denied a single price listing just like anyone else can do if there was no link for it to be reviewed. I have no power on this site to do anything to anyone's account at all. I can't even make a suggestion to the Admin to pull someone's privileges.
Instead of talking to the Admin or even messaging me you decide to make a post calling me out for something just because I happen to be the last person who denied a single price submission from you. Thanks man... good job.

Don't think there is irony that you too did no research to boldly declare the man to be a liar? Did you reach out?
The OP talks about the attitude of an older guard toward those without the history. Dismissive and arrogant could be used to describe the reason for removing the price. Seems to fit the original complaint.

Who did I call a liar? I denied the price because there was no link to verify and there are no sales on eBay to validate. I didn't just say "Oh well" and deny it. I have never walked around being arrogent, I've never been dismissive of any member let alone new members.
Why is it so hard to understand that there was no link and there are no prices on eBay to validate. Am I speaking a foreign language here? How can I be any more clear? When submitting a price a url link is requested so it can be verified. If there isn't a link I'll check sold sales on eBay as well as COMC and when I can not verify prices using those options and there is no eBay link only then do I deny the price. I didn't even look at who submitted it. I treat every member from the first one to the member that signed up today in the same light. Nobody gets any special treatment from me.
This is just bad chaos energy that I don't need in my life.
The TL:DR of the post is, I couldn't verify the price so it was declined. There is no ulterior motive here.

It's possible that someone didn't like the price that was listed for that card for some reason and, upon alerting TCDB to the price by clicking "Remove", the card went back to the verification stage (I think this might be what happens, correct me if I'm wrong). Corky, like any other member checking prices as a 'thing to do', needed evidence to prove that the price was legit. Since the link was old (and Ebay removed the listing), Corky determined that the price should be rejected. This, in turn, seemed to automatically remove privileges for the OP (Corky did not do it, the system did).
I still think that removing prices should be left to the original submitter or Admin, or possibly a few mods (if there are any). Otherwise, anything that has been approved should stick so that these situations could be avoided. And anyway, like others have said, pricing is wonky enough here as it is. Adding stress to both sides of the situation, when each party seems genuinely interested in helping out the site, doesn't help anyone.

If you say the price is wrong, then are you not saying what he put on there was a lie, are you not calling into question his integrity? What other word would you use? How would you feel if someone said that about something you posted?
"Why is it so hard to understand..." is an example of an arrogant response.
Its not my issue. But I do see it happen a lot...that people are treated dismissively because we don't have a history together or something...not sure the real reason.

Those "mods" are the ones who have their pricing automatically approved because of their track records.

Can't we see that there is middle ground between liars and those with a track record though? Everyone was new once. Everyone wanted a chance once. Everyone was busy trying their best once. When the OP was treated like he was a liar, that's the missing middle ground. Why not some respect, a little less arrogance? A little less tooting our own horns of our track record and a little more teamwork? I'm out after this likely. More than likely I haven't built up a track record of trust that people will think I'm coming from a good spot saying this but it doesn't mean I'm wrong.

Sorry but lets drop the drama. I don't really think prices on here are important since this is for the most part a collection manager and trading site not a price guide site. I appreciate that to some valid prices matter but in my experience when it comes to trades as long as both parties are happy with the trade the rest is just noise. Life is short and we all die in the end the key is to enjoy the days and not look for conflict that doesn't matter. And card prices don't matter in the grand scheme of things unless you "collect" to make money. My advice is breath deep take off your shoes and walk in the grass.
