Coming very late to this post, but just had to share my situation. Mid June 2022 I was seeking a Puckett Refractor card hard to locate. He squeezed very hard on the cards he wanted from me, and I caved in to send him several Puckett Rookie Cards and a couple of Mattingly cards. I sent my cards immediately to Bolivar, MO with tracking and confirmed that it was received within 4 days. He signed off that he shipped my card same time as I did. It was after that point in time, that his address on TCDb was changed to the CA address. Needless to say, this looks like a lost cause. If he was actually a worthy trade partner based upon the 90 feedbacks, then that kind of person would probably bend over backwards to alert trade partners about unforeseen developments. I will be adding a Negative Feedback and putting transaction in Unfinished. First bad experience in 150 trades. It's too bad, but the opportunity exists.
Ken

I have to admit for the last little while any time I see a trade warning post I worry..
I've had a lot of personal issues over the last couple years and my trading efficiency has taken a hit.. Part of it was being in the hospital for a year and a half, but I digress...
I worry that these posts will be about me but I keep telling myself that I do try to update people, though that was tough in itself due to my depression.
I saw mention of BobsCardz and 49ants... I'm curious to know what went on there

This thread really didn't take off until after almost a month and a half went by and at that most were collaborating without knowing how big this actually was. I'm sorry to hear that you have / had health issues. First and far most, take care of yourself. If that means scaling back on accepting trades then that's what you got to do. Second, like you said...communicate with your trade partiners so they don't feel like they have been ghosted on a trade. It's really unfortunate what happened here to so many memebers. If what I read throughout this thread is true then this was more than likely a deliberate attempt to swindle many members for his own personal gain. This is just one member that created issues for many and should not be a reflection on all members as a whole. Not sure what the issue was regarding the other two memebers, but I've traded with one of them with no problem at all.

Man, I was really hoping this thread wasn't about him.
Had one good trade with him, lots of communication on the second trade with more valuable cards. I sent him a Cal Ripken jersey card and a 2002 Fleer Fall Classic - Rival Factions Game Used Dual #RF SC-NR Steve Carlton / Nolan Ryan with a dirty relic that was worth quite a bit to me. Was supposed to get a bunch of 1994 Finest Refractors and some hard-to-find Royals cards in return. Was holding out hope that this move was legitimate.

Looks like he offered the same 1994 Finest Refractors to me. (all the Huskers) He stated he paid big bucks for the 94 and 96 Finest Refractors sets so he needed better cards in return as all of my other trades with him was under $10.00 each.

I would just try to search for the threads in the forum, as that's been talked about a lot.

I was going to suggest this - checking to see if the same cards had been traded to multiple members - as a way to see whether this was deliberate deception or not.
However, looks like it has come to light on its own.

Add me to the list of members scammed by Rowdy. I also had given him extra time because of his apparent move. Haven't added negative feedback yet - but I guess it's only a matter of time before I do. There was a Burrow Donruss rookie in that trade too.
Unfortunately that's my second bad experience with trading. But when I did this trade with Rowdy he had 100% positive feedback. So how on earth do you tell the good from the bad???

This one bit a lot of people. I don't know how anyone would have thought otherwise when accepting a trade with him. With that said, maybe there should be a limit of open transactions one member can have at a time to help avoid someone else from doing this again. I say this as I am sure there were 20 plus people that got burned by this user and only those who have admin privileages can probably see how many open transactions this guy had with other members. This was an odd occurance and definently not a norm on this site.

New enhancement/proposal for voting on related to the issue with rowdyturner23...this is open for voting here:
https://www.tcdb.com/FeatureTracker.cfm?MODE=VIEW&ID=669
"This would add a cap to the number of open transactions a member can have at one time. The cap could be based on number of positive feedback or length of membership or both. Once the member hit a certain criteria, the cap would be released."
No need to reply to this thread with concerns related to this proposal...simply vote and leave comments on the voting thread.
