Just thought I would ask this question to get ideas from you all. I currently have Before there was Bubble gum along with the bubble gum card war both by Dean Hanley. I also have  Topps complete picutre collection of baseball cards , a 35 year history 1951- 1985. I also have the Enclclopedia of baseball cards and the Photographic Baseball card of Goodwin and Company 1886-1890, Old Judge.  Finally the Standard catalog of vintage baseball cards.

Don't forget the Great American Baseball Card Flipping, Trading, and Bubble Gum Book. A classic.

Mint Condition: How Baseball Cards Became an American Obsession by Dave Jamieson is a decent read. Nice section in there on Jefferson Burdick

I finished a good one a month or so ago called The Wax Pack: On the Open Road in Search of Baseball's Afterlife.  It was a fun read and about a guy who opens a pack of 1986 Topps and then tries to contact and meet everyone in that pack.  Here is the amazon link.

I'm about half way through this one as well.  It's a fun read, recommended.

IMO....Mint Condition and The Wax Pack are REALLYYYYY good :).

There is also a Topps complete picture collection of baseball cards for cards prior to 1951. That book is amazing.

Not Topps obviously.

Wax Pack is fun. The author has something similar in the works involving pro wrestlers.
