#1 What "value" Cards would you put in Toploaders (ie $5+ $10+ etc)
#2 Do you use penny sleeves in your toploaders
#3 Same questions for Card Savers (min $ value and do you use penny sleeves inside them)

I tend to put $5 up in toploaders.
I always use penny sleeves inside to keep the card from shifting around and getting dusty or scratched up.
I've never really been a fan of the card savers since they are not so easy to find as toploaders.

You should always use a penny sleeve when using a toploader. I may be wrong, but I don't think the toploaders themselves are acid free so the penny sleeve is what protects them. I think toploaders are made of PVC.
I also do not use any plastics for my collection. I just use boxes. I have often thought about using pages, or sleeves, or toploaders but I try to remind myself that I am collecting for the fun of it and not to make money from the cards. Plus I am never satisfied with any kind of system I come up with so just leaving them in the boxes in year and set order lets me not be so attached to keeping up with it.
I would be lying to you though if I don't think about sleeving some of the cards from time to time, simply for when I want to show my cards to people. I sometimes worry about something getting spilled on them as well. But not spending money on supplies and taking less space is nice too.
Sometimes my OCD with this hobby stresses me out, which is kind of the opposite of what a hobby is supposed to do. I think the less I feel like I have to keep up with my card system, the better it is for me in the long run mentally.

I recently transitioned my PC from binders to a mix of toploaded/binders.
Not so much a $ value, but if its a non-rookie base or common insert, it either stays in binders or (in the case of my Washington "Commanders" PC) all of my commons have been penny sleeved and put in boxes. I have special sheets for mini-sized cards, so unless its a real gem, all my mini-sized stuff is in binders.
If it is a rookie or uncommon insert/parallel/sp, what-have-you, it gets sleeved and toploaded and put in specific boxes.
Anything meeting a few very high standards (rare/valuable/immaculate condition/etc) I usually sleeve and put in a card saver. I have a separate box for those. Anything I would consider grading in the future is included in that, though I haven't sent anything in for awhile.

I also always use a penny sleeve in a top loader.
I only use card savers for submissions to grading companies. Other than that, I find them to be a mix of "not enough protection" and "too bulky".

My 2 cents on the "card savers". Avoid them for long term storage. They are somewhat OK for shipping one maybe 2 cards but NO MORE. Some sellers have crammed 6 cards or more in them. And Please DON"T TAPE THEM SHUT.
What everyone else has said with the Toploader/penny sleeve combo is best and NO TAPE not even on the toploaders. It is a grizzly bear to get all the tape and tape residue off, then you have to lather the toploader with goo-gone or goof-off and let it dry.

Like many have said, you should ALWAYS use a penny sleeve in a toploader if you don't want it to get scratched.
I also recommend using toploaders instead of CardSavers.

You'll find many collectors call them CardKillers not CardSavers.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
