Dose TCDB have a Facebook page?
We should and it should be a private group for members only. We could post sports things and cards. But what I would find useful is the active chat. I'm slow in getting back on messages, life gets in the way and all that. But I have a messenger that is always active and it is connected to FB. If we had a group we could chat live with anyone on TCDB. It would save time on things like trades. Go to the FB group to see if the member is on and send a message and get a quick answer or just talk with a friend.
I thought of this because. someone ask me a question about a trade. Day one. I answered day 2. I now have to keep checking to see if it's all good. going to be day 3 or even 4. If I could have chatted with him live the cards could be in the mail by now. I'm not going to keep clicking to see if he said anything and will check sometime tomorrow.
Plus it would be fun to post things about sports and cards and is quick to send images not only on the page but in the messenger. Oh, the card does not look good it had a .... are you sure you want it. words? When we could send an image in the messenger or post it on the page and quick responce. We could save time and get more trades in the post. :) and have fun posting things.
I think we should have one. I also think it should be for member-only that only trade.
What do you think? I think we are missing out on something we can use to everyone's advantage.

What is that behind you!?! Oh, It's me! Looking at the cards you have, That I want. :)

I like the idea of a fb group becuase without an app I don't easily get on here outside of when I am at work or adding to my collection on here. But if I never on except for the two reasons stated above.

TCDB has had a Facebook page for many years. Just click on the towards the bottom of the page.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I am not in Facebook, Twitter or any other social media, except Youtube. I have no interest to use them neither. Sorry.

I been banned for life from Facebook. First because I don't not believe in the politics they believe in so I started just posting family history and my ancestors. After posting that I was related to Robert E Lee wife and General Longstreet wife and gave the direct line to how I was related ( something like my 545 or 546th family notes) they banned me for life. Never mind my own Great Granfather he was in the war himself and was in several battles for the north, but they don't care about facts never have and never will

I also couldn't care less about the FB page. Never cared for the mass social media sites. I just don't have time for all that stuff. I'm fine with just this site and waiting for replies about anything. Nothing about cards is so urgent that I need an answer or reply immediately!

I take a more laid back approach to card trading. I am just fine with waiting months for cards to arrive in the mail. I am like a little boy waiting on Christmas presents coming through the mail service. Spring, Summer, Fall card trading is at the bottom of the list.

I'd be all for it. I already run a group with over 5000 members (not card related) and help out on others. So I would gladly volunteer to help run it, I also have the time on my hands to do it as well.
Facebook doesn't ban people for life, they are actually way too lax, allowing all kinds of horrible things to be posted. They don't even care if you post about murdering people, as has been proven by all the recent murderers who posted about doing it on there and then did and nobody did anything to stop them, so I'm not sure where you're coming from t206.
The problem with most card groups is that most people use it only for selling. There isn't much actual collecting activity on social media like there is right here. Now, if the group was made up of the people on this website already that would probably be different, but if we opened the doors to everyone it would be something to watch out for.
I did try to create a group for trading card bloggers to post and promote their posts in, but 4 people joined and nobody ever actually ever posted.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
