Could somebody please come up with a system, how you can tell who these players play for in the NFL?

On this site? Click on their name and it should be there.
On the cards themselves, it depends on when the cards are produced. Before the draft, they can't possibly have pro info. After the draft, they might say "Drafted by: " on the back.

I don't know how to explain what I am trying to do. I want to know who to look for that were drafted by the 49ers and the Cowboys. Their cards have only their college team listed they played for.

The back door way is to: Just look up who they drafted and look and see if they have any cards.
It may take a while if you are looking for several years. Just type in players drafted by the 49ers and what year you want.

As budler said, it's fairly easy to find a list of draft picks by team. Drafthistory.com allows you to sort by team and has historical data back to the start of the league. Two complications add to the problem. The first is going to be that it's much harder to find historical lists of undrafted free agents. For example, the 2022 SAGE set has 4 Cleveland Browns draft picks (David Bell, Martin Emerson, Michael Woods, Jerome Ford). However, it ALSO has one guy signed as a UDFA by Cleveland (Travell Harris). The other new issue is the fact that the NCAA's new NIL ("Name, Image, Likeness") policies mean that you may have cards several years before the player actually enters the NFL draft. I have an autographed 2021 card, for example, of a guy who was a freshman at Alabama.

Wow. That is really interesting. I can see the love and hate for these cards. I was going through the recent 49er roster that has a LB on it where it says he has 4 years exp. but not one card in the database. I want that card too. Ha Ha.

Then you can talk about the players who have cards but never make the team or played in any NFL games.
Then for guys like me. Collecting Nebraska players There are players that played a year or two for Nebraska and when some other school and their cards are listed only with the other school. The flip side goes for players that finish at Neberaska and listed as a Husker on his cards. It will only get worst with the transfer portal now days. I'm looking at Adrian Martinez 4 years a Husker setting many records and now a Kanasa State player for one year.
Yes it will be very interesting how they are listed.

What i did was look who the patriots drafted and added all the cards from those players to my wantlist. It will pull all the college cards over.

Probably won't be no mention of his best years. Sad.

His time at Nebraska won't necessarily be ignored. Russell Wilson, for example, has cards from both his time at NC State AND from his final season in Wisconsin. While there are many more cards as a Badger, his Wolfpack career hasn't been totally ignored.
