I did try to Amazon ones and for general purposes they are rlterible. Very big pockets that don't hold anything. Might be useful for thicker cards or maybe even relics? I did find one use and that was my attempt at 89 donruss master set. Each card has 4 variations so each pockets holds all 4 cards. But that's the only use I've found for them...

The Amazon Basic are oversized. I use them for vintage large cards, oversized cards, and thick MEM cards. They're also inexpensive alternative for PWEs.

Just curious if anyone has tried the Amazon brand?

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

On this topic, I'd like to get people's opinions on Ultra-Pro Platinum vs Silver. The platinum seem a bit heavier and lay flatter. The silver seem lightweight which I have actually preferred at times when I want the whole binder not to end up as heavy. The Silver are more lightweight but are not any cheaper (or not much cheaper) in places I've got them and are also little harder to find. Anyone have opinions, pros & cons, of Platinum vs SIlver?

I've been using Ultra Pro platinums for 20+ years without issue.
Just removed some '98 hockey to scan for the databse that have been in the sheets since I opened the packs and they came out with no issues.
I've used other sheets that the cards will stick to after a period of time, this has never happened with the Ultra Pros.

Picked up sets in a binder deal...
Half the cards were in BCW-9T II sheets....
Sheets must have gotten hot, looks like someone attempted to "Shrink Wrap" them with the cards....
Ultra-Pros in the same binder looked like new.....

I had some ultra pro silver from Target and they are flimsier and don't lay or turn as well in the binder (compared to platinum).
Ultra pro platinums for me.
On a related note, anyone have a good source for affordable ultra pro platinum pages in other configurations? I need a bunch of 4 pockets and some 8 pockets.

Generally, the condition I look for is: 1800s-1929 - G and up (1+)... 1930-1951 - VGEX and up (2.5+).. 1952-1967 - EX and up (5+)... 1968-1978 - EXMT and up (6.5+)... 1979-1994 - EXMT/NM and up (7.5+)... 1995-present - NM+ and up (8.5+)

Agree with you concerning the Platinum vs Silver. I've gotten a few Silver sheets and didn't like them nearly as much as the Platinum.
I usually buy my sheets at card shows, boxes of 100, or sometimes off Amazon. There is a dealer at the shows that have the 4, 8 & 15 pocket sheets. I buy a few sheets from him when I need those. Another source you could try, if available, are local comic book shops. I know there are a couple near me that have Ultra Pro connections and have told me they can order sheets and notebooks for me if I want.
Good Luck!

I've been collecting for 35+ years and have used just about every type of page and binder combo out there but for about 10 years I strictly only use binders with the pages built into them that zip closed all the way around. Weather it be 4, 8, 9 or my fav 12 pockets, it's the way to go. With that said, I think everyone will agree that Ultra Pro has pretty much been the standard tried-and true-product to go with.

I found a bunch of UP Silver pages at a great deal. I have been using them for my sets, but only for the base set commons. I have stuck with Platinum pages for inserts and/or anything of value. When you have a binder full of the Silver pages, I have found that laying flat is not an issue. I also find that it keeps my binders slightly lighter, which I don't mind one bit.
I have noticed though that my Platinums, which I just re-paged a sets worth of inserts, have all become covered in marring on the fronts, which I would like to find a more resiliant page, but either way, I feel like this is just the nature of plastic products.
