I started this thread because I was wondering if any of you have any "bucket list" card shops that you would like to physically visit in person. For example, I have thought it would be cool if I were ever in California to check out Burbank Sportscards. I have no idea if it actually is a good shop to go to, but I have just thought that it would be cool to check it out.
If there are any shops that are on YOUR bucket list, or if you know of some amazing shops that should be on OTHER people's list, give them a shout out here. There's no real criteria per se, but I'm thinking about the kind of shop where you could spend a whole day looking and digging through boxes and cases and still not see everything -- a place it'd be worth a road trip just to check it out.
I wish I could recommend a place near me, but there's not much around here, which is partly why I started this thread. I'm looking forward to reading these posts!!

I wish I had a local card shop . . . this site is the closet to a actual card shop . . . where friends get together and talk about cards.

This was a while back, but Burbank sportscards was not a typical bunch of glass cases with cards on display card shop. Wasn't really tailored for in person customers.

As a minor league card collector, I thought it might be cool to visit Steven and Lilly Green at STB Sports in Washington.

Not sure I have a card shop on a bucket list, but I enjoy checking out the different LCSs while I am visiting other cities. Every once in a while I will find the most unexpected items that would be on my bucket list if I had one for that too. For example, while visiting an LCS in Kansas City I found a 1968 World Series program with a game 6 ticket stub. As a Tigers fan a 1968 game ticket from from the World Series was a great find...expecially since Kaline hit one out during that game...the program was a bonus!

Just an update to the Burbank store. It is now has two places of business with a distribution hub at its old location for years and an actual shop for retail just a couple blocks away from the old hub. I have been there a few times with many ungraded and graded cards in display cases along with assorted players to sort through and various inserts and base cards to sift through. They also sells packs, boxes, and supplies. Big space for everyone.

That's interesting. Good to know, thanks. I took a business trip to Anaheim a few years ago and thought about trying to get there, but I couldn't make it happen.

If you folks ever come through Lincoln, Nebraska, you need to stop at Capital City Sports Cards.
Reasons to stop:
Over a dozen boxes of 2 cent cards to go through. Yes, two pennies per card. This is not junk era stuff either, it's largely modern 2010-present cards.
Over a dozen boxes of 25 cent cards. Tons of inserts and cards that would go for $1-5.
$1 toploaded cards, $2 autos and relics, and then everything up from there. Well-organized and sorted vintage cards, with retail and hobby wax to rip.
Tables and chairs with plenty of space to grab a box to sift through and a free beverage.
Friendly owner who enjoys helping collectors of all ages.

Well, I never thought I'd go to Lincoln, NE, but now I may need to find an excuse...
