Would appreciate the forum's help with this one:
Ordered cards from COMC, which were sent to me regular first class mail. [It's like $100 worth of cards, so nothing as valuable as the original poster's, but valuable enough.] They had a USPS tracking number.
The delivery was tracked as delivered to my apartment building address on March 26. Only problem is, they weren't. Our doormen (reliable, trustworthy) check in every delivery and these were not checked in. I'm guessing USPS inadvertently delivered the package (a padded envelope) to another building by accident.
Went to the post office and was told there was nothing they could do, as the package was marked delivered. Tried filing a tracking request on the USPS website, but after entering in all the information, I get a notification that the site is "not working at this time and check back later." Did I mention this was over two weeks ago and I've checked back many many many times?
Not COMC's fault, but is there any basic USPS insurance (I think $50) that comes with tracked first class delivery? Do I need to start that process or does COMC? And does anybody have the Topps 1968 World Series cards (Games 1-7 and "Cards Celebrate") they've been dying to give away?
THanks
