Who knows why some of the images have been removed, but perhaps ADMIN did lean on them to remove images that were clearly from TCDB.
I try to be open-minded about these kinds of things, so I set up an account with BSC and listed about 50 cards for sale. After they were initally listed, several sold quickly and BSC paid me quickly. I've sold over $100 in cards in a couple weeks. The only seller cost was an ~ 3% payment processing fee. Much cheaper than SportLots, COMC, or eBay. I expect they will eventually charge a listing fee, but if it's less than 10% it will be a better deal than other selling platforms.
My sales have slowed down lately, but I've also put no effort into selling the last few weeks because I've been super busy with work.
It has built in shipping logistics like eBay and the seller's shipping costs are discounted like eBay does. Adding images of my cards was easy, and it is really helpful for purchasers of vintage cards to see an actual image of your card.
As a seller, I found the experience to be quite positive.
I have not purchased any cards on BSC yet, but I don't see why I wouldn't. I just haven't been in the card acquiring mood the last couple months.
The site is well organized, information is easy to access and filter. Personally, I like it better than any other platform that's out there right now - I think it has a lot of potential and wish TCDB members would try it out. I understand there's some animosity regarding the use of TCDB images, but if you can get past that, you may find it's worthwhile.
I know that Net54 sent out a blast to members of its forums about BSC - encouraging members to try it out. BSC also had a booth at the National. Sports Collector's Daily has posted a couple of articles about them. Again, if they could get some traction, BSC could be an influential buying/selling platform.
Put me in Coach, I'm ready to play. Today.
