As I was perusing Instagram, I stumbled across a page called "BuySportsCards". Intrigued, I checked it out and noticed that they were claiming to have the largest database of sports cards - including data and images. I visited their site and searched for "Rolen" to see what they had. Low and behold, what do I see...images of MY cards. All of them were "out of stock" and as I was looking closer, I noticed they weren't just cards that I already had, but they were images of my exact cards. Same serial numbers and everything.

There are only two places I upload images of my cards: my website (www.TheRolenCollection.com) and here.

So, is TCDB associated with BuySportsCards? Or did that site just syphon images from here for their site?

I don't know for certain, but I bet they're taking pictures from us without permission.

I'm pretty sure they just wrote a program to scrub all the images off of TCDB to use in their own website, which is probably not totally legal.  Assuming TCDB owns the copyright to photos uploaded here, admin could maybe send a cease and desist to get them to quit using copyrighted photos.

Also, assuming they use AWS for ads like everyone else, they are most definitely violating their contract with Amazon by doing that.

I'd send a note to Admin with exactly what you saw to include any necessary links. Let him take it from there.

Low and behold we have a case going on here. Lets push the unlawful lottery case to the side and make this the center of attention. TCDb uprising? It is actually fun now finding cards that I submitted that are there. I have the suspicion that an angry ex member getting revenge.

The 2018 topps holiday gold snowflake 1/1 #118 of Severino is on there and I am looking at it on my desk right now. No other pictures/scans of this card could be found on the internet but it is on that other site. Additionally on that other site, there are 0 pictures/scans of any other card from that 1/1 set other than mine.
