?? about 1999 Topps Baseball

I noticed that 1999 Topps Baseball set is trade marked 1998. Does anyone know why this is the case? Also are there other baseball sets that have the same issue? ------------------------------- Blake

Many are like that - not an issue. The author of a work has a copyright to the work as soon as it is created. Apparently, Topps chose different points of their design schedule to copyright their work. Copyright date does not always equal publication date.

Is a copyright date the same as a publication date?

Lots of sets used to come out before Christmas back then too... not sure in this particular case... ------------------------------- I'm mostly organizing over adding right now.
