could use some advice - we just bought new wire storage shelves. My card collection is in three ring binders. If I place the binders vertically on the shelves - does it have the potential to damage the cards on the bottom row of each binder? Trying to figure out if I need to overlay each shelf with cardboard so that the binders don't sit directly on the wires.

Just wondering if any other collector on the site encountered a similar issue. Any best practices for storing cards in 3 ring binders is welcome!

No issues with cards on the bottom row of sheets......

Though have had cards on shelves that didn't get any attention for several

years, that collected dust on the top edges of those at the top of binders.....

Something as simple as cardboard would be placed under the binders if you have

worries about cards.....

I got some strong wire shelves for my binders. They make special shelf liners for the shelves. Rather than attempt to cu cardboard and make a mess of things, I decided to go for it and get the plastic liners. I think it was well worth it. But if I was good with DIY stuff, I would've definitely done it on my own.
