I just had two packages delivered with postage due. $7.66 to get my cards. Anyone else have this problem?

I had to pay $3 and some change last week. I was sent several extra Cards so I let it slide. I usually mention it but it's really never been more than .50 cents or so until this one.

I accidentally was on the sending end of one of these. The receiver let me know and I happily venmo'd him the money owed. I'm sure it was an honest mistake that the trader would be glad to correct.

I've only had that happen once. I've had my local post office return some of my PWEs becuase they want more postage. I'd want to know if anything I sent arrived with postage due.

I received one from an Ebay seller recently and was initially angry until I opened the package. Then I noticed there were a few extra fairly good cards. When I messaged the seller, it turned out that they didn't have enough stamps at home and didn't want to go to the post office because of Covid, so they threw in some extra cards to make up for it. I completely understood.

I was just curious if this was a recent development of the Post Office cracking down on us. Over a hundred transactions and it had never happened.......until today. I'm sure nothing sinister is afoot

On the positive side, at least cards were delivered rather than returned. And hopefully reimbursement occured.

You can get this if you try to send PWE or media mail and they decide to do an inspection/audit. Best be safe to ship it the right way and not try to cut corners. It is also bad service for a customer to have to pay for postage that is missing, so to keep your reputation up, you don't want that to happen.
